Last October I joined Duquense University for their National Conference of the First Amendment with mainstream media stalwarts like The New York Times and The Washington Post.

I was the one of the only independent journalists in attendance and **certainly** the only journalist with the conviction to defend our methods in front of the establishment’s most powerful players.

This week, the president of Duquense, Ken Gormley, defended his decision to include Project Veritas in their summit of established media. He notes that before the conference, students widely opposed my attendance and that the school newspaper wrote a “blistering” editorial.

President Gormley’s response to those students was perfect. You can view his remarks by clicking HERE.

President Gormley also defends our techniques and he likens our guerilla journalism tactics to Matt Drudge and those of undercover reporters from the 20th century.

I’m thankful to President Gormley for allowing me to participate in this important discussion and for not caving to the cries of opposition. I hope to join the conference again in the future.

Be Brave!
