Part of the USA First Transit network is a contract they have based in Houston, at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where they transport United Airline’s employees, to and from the employee parking lot, to and from the terminal.

One full time employee, a Pakistani Muslim, has been given permission by First Transit’s Cincinnati corporate office to take prayer breaks during his shift.

This discriminates against other employees as the other, non-Muslim, employees have to call on their radio, to their supervisor, requesting a break. If it fits with the rotation/flow at that time then they are given permission to take a break. Also, only one driver at a time can take a break. However, the Muslim employee merely calls the supervisor and tells her/him that he is taking his break. There is no consideration given to whether another driver is on break or whether passengers are waiting. He has been known to drive past passengers so that he can get to his break and pray. Apparently, he has to pray at specific times of the day. This has been approved by the corporate human resources department.

Drivers are usually allowed two bathroom breaks, over and above their usual meal break, during their shift. However, the Muslim driver has been known to take up to 6 breaks in one shift; not all prayer breaks obviously. He has had breaks of up to 20 minutes on occasions also.

Several drivers have raised the matter with their supervisor/local management due to discrimination against non-Muslims. Their concerns have been ridden over by the fact that the corporate office has allowed this. So, local management have no control over it at all.

These are facts, witnessed first hand.
Kind regards, Belly

2 Timothy 3:1-4 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
