THE INAUGURATION OF POLICE STATE USA 2012. Obama Signs the “National Defense Authorization Act "
Author’s Note
The following article first published in January of 2012 focuses on an important piece of legislation (National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) HR 1540).
Barely noticed by our mainstream media, HR 1540 (signed into law by president Obama on December 31, 2011) has set the stage for the repeal of constitutional government, not to mention the development of the “Surveillance State”, which has recently been the object of heated debate.
The American republic is fractured. The tendency is towards the establishment of a totalitarian State, a military government dressed in civilian clothes.
The adoption of the “National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), HR 1540) is tantamount to the militarization of law enforcement, the repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act and the Inauguration in 2012 of Police State USA.
As in the Weimar Republic in Germany in the 1930s, fundamental rights and freedoms are repealed under the pretext that democracy is threatened and must be protected.
Domestic radical groups and labor activists constitute in the eyes of the Obama administration a threat to the established economic and political order.
The media is complicit in the demise of constitutional government.

All the components of Police State USA are currently in place. They go far beyond government snooping of emails and telephone conversations. They include:

Extrajudicial assassinations of alleged terrorists including US citizens, in blatant violation of the Fifth amendment “No person shall. .. be deprived of life. .. without due process of law.”

The indefinite detention of US citizens without trial, namely the repeal of Habeas Corpus.

The establishment of “Internment Camps” on US Military Bases under legislation adopted in 2009 .

Under the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act (HR 645) the “Internment Camps”. can be used to “meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.”

The FEMA internment camps are part of the Continuity of Government (COG), which would be put in place in the case of martial law. The internment camps are intended to “protect the government” against its citizens, by locking up protesters as well as political activists who might challenge the legitimacy of the Administration’s national security, economic or military agenda.

New Bill In Congress Would Ban Private Citizens From Owning Body Armor

By Michael Snyder, on August 21st, 2014

Banned - Public DomainA new law that has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives “would prohibit the sale, transfer or possession of military-level body armor by civilians”. In other words, private citizens all over the entire nation would be permanently banned from owning body armor if this bill gets passed and signed into law. The bill that I am talking about is H.R. 5344 (The Responsible Body Armor Possession Act), and you can view the proposed legislation for yourself right here. The driving force behind this new law is Democrat Mike Honda from California. To Honda, it doesn’t matter that large numbers of very responsible Americans have purchased body armor to protect themselves and their families in a society that is rapidly decaying. Instead, it makes perfect sense to Honda to ban body armor because “access to military-grade body armor emboldens criminals and mass shooters to act.” And Honda wants to make possession of body armor a criminal offense with a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. This is absolutely crazy, and it is yet another example of the “police state mentality” that is so prevalent among our politicians these days.
When I first learned about this new law, I could hardly believe it. But it is actually true. The following is an excerpt from a news story about the introduction of this new bill

U.S. Police Have Killed Over 5,000 Civilians Since 9/11

Written by WorldWideWisdom

Seattle PoliceStatistically speaking, Americans should be more fearful of the local cops than “terrorists.”

Though Americans commonly believe law enforcement’s role in society is to protect them and ensure peace and stability within the community, the sad reality is that police departments are often more focused on enforcing laws, making arrests and issuing citations. As a result of this as well as an increase in militarized policing techniques, Americans are eight times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist, estimates a Washington’s Blog report based on official statistical data.

Though the U.S. government does not have a database collecting information about the total number of police involved shootings each year, it’s estimated that between 500 and 1,000 Americans are killed by police officers each year. Since 9/11, about 5,000 Americans have been killed by U.S. police officers, which is almost equivalent to the number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed in the line of duty in Iraq.
Because individual police departments are not required to submit information regarding the use of deadly force by its officers, some bloggers have taken it upon themselves to aggregate that data. Wikipedia also has a list of “justifiable homicides” in the U.S., which was created by documenting publicized deaths.
According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, there are more than 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers in the United States. In 2012, 120 officers were killed in the line of duty. The deadliest day in law enforcement history was reportedly Sept. 11, 2001, when 72 officers were killed.
Despite far fewer officers dying in the line of duty compared with American citizens, police departments are not only increasing their use of protective and highly volatile gear, but are increasingly setting aside a portion of their budget to invest in new technology such as drones, night vision goggles, remote robots, surveillance cameras, license plate readers and armored vehicles that amount to unarmed tanks.

TheUpshot/Military-Surplus-Gear: Military equipment given to law enforcement agencies

Military Surplus Gear

County-level data showing military equipment given to state and local law enforcement agencies through the Defense Department’s 1033 program. The data was received from the Defense Department in May 2014 as an Excel file, and includes transfers since 2006.
Important: There is no information about which agency received a given piece of equipment. Items that went to a county could have been given to a state agency based in that county, for example.
