Here’s the lesson for the day: Liberals are not tolerant. Liberals use the idea of tolerance to force the ideological door open, but once inside, they immediately shut it behind them. They have used this tactic since Satan said, “Has God said?” (Gen. 3:1). Conservatives are brow beaten when they take a moral stand on an issue. Liberals begin by arguing that conservatives should be “tolerant” even if they disagree with a particular belief or behavior. Not wanting to be thought of as unloving, they agree to be tolerant but not accepting. This is the wedge that liberals look for. Once tolerance is granted, there is no stopping the aggression until conservative views are shut out all together.
The latest example of liberal tolerance comes from a group of former child actors who have attacked Kirk Cameron in a mocking and disgusting video. Cameron starred in Growing Pains from 1985 to 1992. He also appeared in other television shows and films. His latest venture is Monumental which has been appearing in theaters since March 22.
During the promotion phase of Monumental, Cameron appeared on a number of interview shows. One of them was with Piers Morgan. Instead of talking about Monumental, Morgan asked Cameron about his views on homosexuality. Here was Kirk’s answer:
“Marriage is defined by God in the garden between Adam and Eve, one man, one woman for life, til-death-do-you-part.”
Immediately the leftists in Hollywood pounced on his comments. Roseanne Barr had this to say: Kirk Cameron “is an accomplice to murder with his hate speech.” Here’s what Kirk said in response to the comments made by “tolerant” Hollywood liberals:
“I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years — without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.”
These out-of-work former child actors have said nothing or offered no support to fellow child actors who had drug problems and eventually died from substance abuse: Dana Plato, River Phoenix, Brad Renfro, Brigette Andersen, Anissa Jones, Corey Haim, and Andrew Koenig who was found dead with self-inflicted wounds. This says nothing about other child actors who have messed up their lives with drugs.
