Freedom of Expression–or Suppression?

Freedom of Expression–or Suppression?

The Values Bus is making the rounds in Ohio this week, and once again we’re getting under the Left’s skin. In the 14 states we’ve traveled, FRC Action and Heritage Foundation’s message of fiscal, civic, and moral responsibility has been a success everywhere it’s gone. But that isn’t sitting too well with local liberals. In Ohio, they’re trying a different tactic of fear and intimidation–but so far, the Buckeyes aren’t falling for it. They understand that the Left can’t compete with ideas, so they’ll try to drown out the truth instead.
After a great kickoff event in Steubenville, the Values Bus headed over to the statehouse in Columbus where FRC’s Tom McClusky and Heritage’s Alison Fraser were joined by pro-life activists like Janet Folger Porter of Faith to Action and Linda Harvey of Mission America. Also tagging along were a small handful of homosexual activists, who think the freedom to speech is passe, as they used bullhorns and sirens in an attempt to silence us. As usual they failed in their attempt. (Check out RedState‘s video below.)
They also pressured the Old Spaghetti Factory in Fairfield into closing the venue for our voter education drive scheduled for this evening. The event will still occur, but at the Cornerstone Church of God at the previously scheduled time. This week, the Values Bus will continue to roll on through the heartland despite attempts by liberal activists to drown us out. If you want to help us get the message out, please visit the website. You can sponsor an event or even buy a few tanks of gas!
