ABC Doctored video from Sanford Police – clearly shows gash in Zimmerman’s head…

Yesterday, I did a post on a police surveillance video on the night when George Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. The video showed a hand-cuffed Zimmerman being brought to the police station.

It was ABC World News that obtained and broadcasted the video. Along with the video was this summary observation by ABC reporter Matt Guttman:

“A police surveillance video taken the night that Trayvon Martin was shot dead shows no blood or bruises on George Zimmerman.”

Guttman noted that Zimmerman had told police he was punched in the nose, knocked down and had his head slammed into the ground” by Martin.

But now, The Daily Caller is raising questions about Guttman’s version:

“Surveillance video of George Zimmerman arriving at a Sanford, Fla. police station indicates what may be an injury to the back of his head, a Daily Caller analysis shows.”

This still image from the video indicates what appears to be a vertical laceration or scar several inches long:

In fact, at the 0:52 mark in this video, one of the police officers accompanying Zimmerman stops to look at the back of Zimmerman’s head for several seconds.

So did ABC’s Matt Guttman rush to judgment and thereby prejudiced Americans against Zimmerman?
