Stolen Valor

THE SUPREME COURT AGREED MONDAY to decide whether the 2006 Stolen Valor Act is constitutional. The court will hear the case of Xavier Alvarez, a California man who falsely claimed to have received the Medal of Honor and was convicted under the act. The high court will hear an appeal from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which declared the act unconstitutional last year. The appeals court’s decision is here:
