MCCHRYSTAL TOLD REPORTERS THURSDAY that the United States began the war with a “frighteningly simplistic” view of the country and still lacks the knowledge necessary to bring the war to a successful conclusion. “We didn’t know enough and we still don’t know enough,” he said at the Council on Foreign Relations.
