HOUSE HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN Peter King wants to change how Fighting Terrorism funds are divvied up

HOUSE HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN Peter King (R-N.Y.) wants to change how funds are divvied up. Rather than the usual congressional recipe of giving everyone a little bit, he wants to “go where the risk is.” In part 2 of POLITICO’s video series ‘A Decade of Fighting Terrorism,’ King says “we’re facing an existential threat from al Qaeda, and we can’t afford to be spreading money all over the country. It should go to the areas that are the main targets. … That would be New York; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; Chicago; Port of Houston.”

He also talks about the threat from within the United States, harsh interrogation techniques, and reacts to Obama’s handling of the killing of Osama bin Laden by saying the president has ‘ice water in his veins.’
